Description of this Petritoli Vacation Rental Property
The perfect retreat for those of you who want the opportunity to stay in a historic house in the picturesque rolling hills of central Le Marche. Ideally located in the countryside within a short distance of the beach (15 mins) and the breathtaking scenery of the Sibillini National Park (40 mins) with its hiking trails, mountainside villages and mouthwatering regional cuisine. For those interested in heritage, the Province town of Fermo offers fantastic architecture, museums and a fabulous library, while all the surrounding villages provide an endless source of historic, cultural and archaeological interest. The house is on a road dating from the XIII C and was remodelled throughout the centuries with the latest vaulted ceiling dating from around the XVIII C. It even boasts its own caves carved into the hillside! It has been very sympathetically renovated to combine most of its original features with modern comfort. A fantastic base from which to experience our fabulous region!

Of course, village hopping is a firm favourite activity not to be missed as is a visit to Province capital Fermo with its extensive Roman cisterns, stunning cathedral and historic alleys. And for shopaholics, the region is a hub of the shoe-making and leather industries, with outlets from the likes of Prada, Tod's and Kickers. With our extensive knowledge of the region, tailor-made itineraries can be provided for a small additional fee, with further suggestions for day trips outside the region.

Fully equipped KITCHEN, very spacious and airy with tiled floor. UTILITY ROOM extension of kitchen, very large with plenty of traditional open shelves cupboard space, washing machine and butler-style sink.
Cleaning utensils and detergents provided.
Plenty of drying space for two clothes airers (provided).
Ironing facilities also provided.
LIVING ROOM, spacious and comfortable with solid wood dining table / chairs, leather sofas and reading chairs. Gorgeous original exposed beams ceiling and cooked tile floor.
CHILDREN: While we feel many features of the house make it unsuitable for very young children, we are happy to discuss your particular requirements.

A partition wall has deliberately not been erected, leaving room for full length double curtain (day / night) hanging from handmade double pole. Colour is the main theme, with beautiful limited edition prints of late-medieval series on life of St Lucia (originals in local Fermo museum), handsewn wardrobe curtains, brightly coloured embroidered cushions and lights. Allows for total flexibility: two large futon chairs can be made up as single bed with extra seating, twin beds or comfortable queen size double. Rustico: Gr fl. Stunning brick vaulted dining room. Large double sofa bed. Hand carved solid wood furniture with wealth of original artisan ceramics, tapestry and traditional copper utensils. Own bathroom / shower.
